Common Rail diesel fuel injection systems produce greater power, efficiency, and cleaner operation than prior types of diesel fuel injection systems.
Common Rail Injector Valve 9308-618C
Common rail fuel injection is a direct fuel injection system for both petrol and diesel engines.
On diesel engines, it features a high-pressure (over 1000 bar or 100 MPa or 15000 psi) fuel rail feeding individual solenoid valves, as opposed to a low-pressure fuel pump feeding unit injectors (or pump nozzles).
The main elements of a Common Rail Diesel injection system are a low pressure circuit, including the fuel tank and a low pressure pump, a high pressure pump with a delivery valve, a common rail and the electro-injectors.
